A quick primer

What is NIPT?

Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) screens for common chromosomal conditions, like Down syndrome (Trisomy 21), by analyzing small fragments of your baby's DNA found in your blood. It only requires a simple blood draw and can be done earlier in pregnancy than traditional screening options.

NIPT is a screening test, not a diagnosis, so a higher-risk result is typically followed up with a diagnostic test to confirm. If you have questions or concerns at any point, our concierge team is just a message away.
