Female patient of child-bearing age must not be pregnant.
Wear comfortable clothes free of metallic objects (buttons, zipper).
Creatinine results of normal value taken within 2 weeks before the procedure. If elevated, secure clearance from Nephrologist or attending physician before scheduling appointment for the procedure requested.
Light evening meal
Fasting 4-6 hrs prior to the procedure.
Report to radiology unit 1 hour prior to the scheduled appointment time for CT abdomen with oral and IV contrast, 30 minutes for other CT with contrast.
