LablogDNA's legal paternity testing is a DNA test used to determine biological fatherhood with results that are legally admissible in court. The process involves collecting DNA samples from the alleged father, child, and sometimes the mother, in a secure and documented manner to ensure chain of custody. This ensures the test results are reliable and can be used for legal purposes such as child support, custody, or inheritance cases. The test is conducted with strict protocols to maintain accuracy and legality.
For legal DNA testing, a Lablog medical professional must collect the sample to ensure the integrity of the process. This involves a buccal swab collection and can be done at any of our Lablog clinics in Quezon City, Davao, Cebu, Laguna, Batangas, or Cagayan de Oro, or through home service for an additional fee. The following documents are required: a valid ID for both the alleged father and adult child, a birth certificate for a minor child, and a passport-sized photo of both the alleged father and child. The entire sample collection will be video recorded to maintain chain of custody, and the sample will be securely sent to the laboratory for analysis, ensuring legally admissible results.
