What is a combined gastroscopy and colonoscopy?
It is two camera exams done back to back in one session, under one sedation. The gastroscopy checks your esophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine. The colonoscopy checks your large intestine. You prepare once, take one day off, and recover once. The whole visit, including recovery, usually takes 3 to 4 hours.
