The Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (aPTT/ PTT) test measures how long it takes your blood to clot, helping to assess your blood’s ability to form clots properly. It is often used to monitor patients on blood-thinning medications and diagnose bleeding disorders.
No patient preparation required. However, a fatty meal prior to blood collection may interfere so it should be avoided.
