Whole Abdominal Ultrasound is a non-invasive test captures real-time images of abdominal organs, including the liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, and bladder. It helps detect tumors, cysts, stones, inflammation, and organ enlargement.
Commonly used to diagnose liver disease, gallstones, kidney stones, and other abdominal conditions.
NOTE: No need to fast if patient has undergone cholecystectomy or surgical removal of gall bladder.
Special Instructions
NOTE: Usually, it takes approximately 30 minutes for a patient to have a full bladder after drinking 1 liter of water. The Imaging staff is the one to advise the patient since they are in coordination with the Sonologist. This is to avoid dealing with two patients who have full bladder at the same time.
