Regular Pap smears are recommended for women aged 21 years and above who have been sexually active. If you're 21–29 years old, it's generally recommended to have a Pap smear every 3 years. For women 30–65 years old, cervical cancer screening with a Pap smear and HPV test is recommended at appropriate intervals based on your healthcare provider's advice. Even if you've received the HPV vaccine, regular Pap smears are still important because the vaccine does not protect against all types of HPV that can cause cervical cancer. Most women can stop screening after age 65 if they have had consistently normal results and meet their healthcare provider's criteria for discontinuing screening.

• No Menstruation/Spotting for at least three (3) days prior to the procedure.
• Do not use vaginal douche/feminine wash, tampons, birth control foams, jellies, vaginal creams or vaginal medications for three (3) days prior to the procedure.
• No sexual contact at least three (3) days prior to the procedure.
